Joye M. Dolan
Hello, My name is Joye Dolan. I am the Founder and Executive Director of Yellow Horse. I am a CHA Instructor of Riders with Disabilities, a PATH Intl Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor, PATH Intl Equine Specialist In Mental Health and Learning, a Foundation Riding Instructor and OK Corral Series Certified in Equine Assisted Learning and Psychotherapy. This program has been a dream of mine for many years. With the unconditional love and support from parents, children and close friends, I have been able to build my dream into a reality which is now Yellow Horse.
I have been loving, learning, teaching and working with horses since I was 5 years old. I've owned and trained my own horses my whole life, competed in barrel racing locally and on the ARA, WPRA and NBHA circuits, ridden on Hunter Paces and some Competitive trail riding, worked on several Thoroughbred racetracks and managed horse farms. Starting in 2011, I volunteered and worked with several therapeutic programs, such as Pikes Peak Therapeutic Center in Colorado and Horses Healing Humans in Connecticut.
I have taught foundation horsemanship, on and off, part time, for over 40 years. Since 2011, I have been part of Equine Assisted Activities and therapeutic riding. I love working with my students and being a part of the growth, healing, learning and blessings Yellow Horse brings about.
I am the proud mother of three children, now young adults, Joshua, Jacob and Emily. When I am not putting all my time into Yellow Horse, I spend time with my dog Owen, my cat Sam Elliot and with my family and good friends.

Emily E. Rice
Hello, my name is Emily Rice. I am Co-Founder/ Assistant Executive Director of Yellow Horse and an Occupational Therapy Assistant. I received my associates degree in Health Sciences from New England Institute of Technology in 2017. My experience working with horses goes all the way back to when I was in my mothers belly. As a child I grew up learning both English and Western. I love helping out Yellow Horse instructors with fun and innovative ways for lessons using my OT background. I have witnessed what horses can do therapeutically for many people, myself included. I truly believe in the therapeutic healing that horses can provide to children and adults and want to share just how healing horses can be for each and every one of us.
While I live far away in Oklahoma I am very present in Yellow Horse working virtually in all administrative aspects of the program.

Emma Guillot
Hello, my name is Emma Guillot! I am a part-time CHA IRD Instructor at Yellow Horse, and currently working to become certified through PATH International.
The equine world has been a part of my life since the early age of six when I started taking riding lessons at a local barn. I have since ridden competitively for many years in regional Morgan horse shows as well as various equitation platforms. I currently ride and show my heart horse, Tommy!
My full-time career is as a purchasing manager for Shawmut Design and Construction. While in my undergraduate studies for architecture at Roger Williams University, I became heavily involved with the therapeutic riding industry. Volunteering for years as a side walker and equine leader allowed me to learn a great deal and eventually begin teaching my own therapeutic riding lessons a few times a week. A long-term goal of mine is to one
day fully design, construct, and eventually operate my own therapeutic riding facility – a capstone project I began my senior year of college! It is incredibly rewarding to be able to pass along my love of horses to others, while capitalizing on the abilities of each student I teach.

Sarah Babcock
Hello all, my name is Sarah Babcock and I am thrilled to introduce myself as the volunteer coordinator and an instructor here at Yellow Horse. I grew up in Coventry, Rhode Island, and rode from the age of six. I spent many years working as a Veterinary technician. After changing career paths, I became certified as a teacher's assistant and enjoyed supporting preschool aged children in their learning. I then moved on to an opportunity at Lighthouse Equine Therapeutic where I merged teaching and working with horses as an instructor and assistant barn manager. With the closing of that program I was very grateful to find a home at Yellow Horse to continue learning and practising my skills as an instructor.I am currently working towards a CHA riders with disabilities certification. I love seeing the joy and liberation horses provide my students of all ages. When I am not working, you can catch me with my son gardening or at the beach.
